Spencer was born and raised in Southern California, living most of his life in San Diego County. He started his career in construction in 1986, specializing in building envelopes, waterproofing, exterior finishes and architectural metals. He is also a former licensed contractor in the State of CA. When he's not hard at work for EWB, Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandson, who, by the way, is about to become a big brother!

He's a big fan of live music, he collects Rock N Roll memorabilia, his favorite place to be is on the beach in Maui, and he's been married for over 35 years. Another fun fact about him is that he also still keeps in touch with a few of his good friends from high school and even manages to get together with them every couple of weeks.
